General Website Questions

  • Whom do I contact if I have questions about the Wisconsin TechConnect website?
    Select the Contact Us/Help tab for directory information to contact your local (district) technical college regarding questions or concerns. If you are unsure which college to contact, use the "Not sure who to contact?" link at the bottom of the page.
  • What do I need to do if I forgot my password?
    At the Sign In screen, use the "Click here to reset your password" link. Enter your email address and click Submit. A temporary password will be assigned to your account and an email confirmation sent to your email address. After signing in you may wish to change your password to something that is easier to remember. Note that passwords are case sensitive.

  • What if I get the message "This email address is already in use?"
    Select the Contact Us/Help tab for directory information to contact your local (district) technical college.
  • What if I get the message "The user name provided has not been activated. The user needs to complete the registration process."
    First, check your email account for an email from Wisconsin TechConnect that contains a link for you to click to activate your account.
    If you cannot find that email, then select the Contact Us/Help tab for directory information to contact your local (district) technical college to activate your account for you.
  • I keep requesting a password re-set, but do not receive an email.
    To ensure delivery to your mailbox, please add support@wisconsintechconnect.com to your address book. You may also need to check your Spam or Junk mail folders.
  • My password does not work.
    Note that passwords are case sensitive. If you use copy/paste, be careful not to capture an extra space before or after the password. If it still does not work, there is a Forgot Password? link on the Sign In page.
  • What if I get the message "Student ID or email address already in use?"
    Select the Contact Us/Help tab for directory information to contact your local technical college regarding questions or concerns.
  • What does this mean? "Registration Pending .. The Student ID, last name, or program entered was not found or does not match our records and therefore you cannot be automatically registered for Wisconsin TechConnect. Your registration will be manually reviewed within the next two business days and your password will be emailed to you if you meet the registration criteria."

  • What if I receive the message "We cannot find you. This email address is not registered with Wisconsin TechConnect."
    Check the spelling of your email address. If you think you have already registered, the email address on your account may be different than what you are trying to sign in with (i.e. @my.school.edu or @yahoo.com).
    Select the Contact Us/Help tab for directory information to contact your local technical college for assistance.

  • Why are resumes no longer available for my job posting?
    If your job has expired (deadline date is in the past), resumes are no longer accessible. If you have edited your job posting, it must be reprocessed by your local college (within 72 hours) before resumes are viewable.

  • Where do I find Miscellaneous job opportunities?
    You do not need to have an account or sign in to view Miscellaneous job opportunities. On the Home page, click the "Get Started" link in the Students/Graduates section. You may then need to scroll down to see the Miscellaneous Jobs section. Select your desired College name and click "View".
  • Where do I find Work Study/Student Help job opportunities?
    These job postings vary by college. They may be listed on a separate webpage, be maintained by your Financial Aid department, or they may be listed in Wisconsin TechConnect under Miscellaneous job opportunities. Follow the instructions in the "Where do I find Miscellaneous job opportunities?" FAQ.
